Clogging is one of many varied forms of American Folk Dancing originating from the Appalachian Mountain Area which has been influenced by many sources:
Dutch, German, Irish, Scottish style dancing, and Square Dancing.
Clogging can be done alone, as couples, in lines or circles, just about any way you like.
Clogging traditionally is danced to bluegrass or uptempo country music. Clogging has adopted music styles from rap and pop to the traditional music, and everything in between.
